Who this is for
Sometimes it's the person who wants to keep doing their own stairs, their own garden, their own grocery run. Sometimes it's their son or daughter, quietly worried after a stumble. Both are in the right place.
You're not trying to get in shape for anyone. You want to get off the floor without help, carry your own groceries, walk on uneven ground without thinking about it, and not be the person everyone hovers around. That is trainable, and it is trainable at any age.
Maybe there was a fall, or a near one. Maybe they've stopped doing something they used to do and nobody's said it out loud. A gym was never going to happen — but someone coming to the house, once or twice a week, usually does.
What the work actually is
Falling isn't bad luck and it isn't simply age. It's usually some combination of weak hips, stiff ankles, slow reaction time and a body that's quietly stopped practising hard things. Each of those responds to training.
Standing on one leg, stepping over things, turning your head while you walk, catching yourself when the floor surprises you. Practised deliberately, with a hand nearby, until it stops feeling risky.
Standing up from a low chair. Getting off the floor. Lifting a grandchild, a suitcase, a bag of soil. We train the movements your week is actually made of.
The ability to react quickly is what turns a stumble into a recovered step instead of a fall. It's the piece most senior programs skip entirely, and it's in the name of this business for a reason.
What a visit looks like
Jenelle comes to the house and you talk — what's changed, what hurts, what you've stopped doing, what the doctor has said. No workout, no test, nothing to sign. Family is welcome to sit in.
Written for your joints, your history and your home — including what to hold onto and what to avoid. If there's a diagnosis or a surgery in the picture, it gets built around that.
Most people train once or twice a week. Jenelle brings whatever's needed; a kitchen chair and a hallway are usually plenty to start.
Every session is adapted on the spot. If today is a bad knee day, the session changes. The point is to keep showing up safely for years — not to have one heroic workout and then quit.
In action

Meet your trainer
Eighteen years of training people, with a particular love for the 55+ years — the stage where strength work stops being about appearance and starts being about staying in charge of your own life. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and is an ACSM certified exercise physiologist and NASM certified nutrition coach.
She doesn't hand out exercises and watch the clock. She watches how you move, adjusts for pain and history, and meets you exactly where you are — which, with an older body, is the entire job.
Good to know
Almost certainly not. Training starts wherever someone actually is — seated work, holding a counter, two exercises at a time if that's the honest starting point. The people who benefit most are usually the ones who assume they're past it.
Those are common here, not disqualifying. Jenelle is an ACSM certified exercise physiologist — a certification specifically concerned with exercise for people with medical conditions — and will happily work alongside a doctor's guidance. If a physician has set limits, bring them to the intro visit.
Either. Most 55+ clients train at home, which is the point of this page. There's also a private garage studio if someone would rather get out of the house.
Yes. Many adult children sit in on the first visit and then step back once everyone's comfortable. You'll get a straight answer about what you're seeing.
Once or twice a week is typical. Rates are listed plainly on the pricing section of the main page — in-home and studio, individual and couples, with no memberships or contracts.
Yes, and many couples do. It's less expensive per person and the two of you keep each other honest about showing up.
Yes — fully insured professional liability coverage, for in-home work as well as studio.
A conversation in your own living room about what's changed and what's still possible. No pressure, no commitment, nothing to sign.
